Hey friend! This week I’m bringing you a funny poem about a kid with a yeti in their closet. I mean cryptids in the wardrobe is a thing, I swear. Well, at least it is now. It should be monstrous!

Yeti in my Closet

I’ve got a yeti in my closet
Please don’t tell my mum
It’s kinda fuzzy and it’s furry
and it’s quite a lot of fun!

I found him on a Friday
It was a snow day from school
He seemed fairly friendly
And he seemed kinda cool

I was building a big snowman
at the bottom of the yard
The thing was standing, staring
and he was pretty large

Now, most kids would be frightened
and run and hide and scream
but he clapped his hands and laughed out loud
It was clear he wasn’t mean

So, I called him over
with my special yeti growl
He immediately responded
with his special yeti howl

He lolloped right up to me
and gave me a special yeti hug
Then suddenly from the freezing
I was warm and I was snug

So, I named him Simon
and snuck him in the house
He stands inside my closet
as quiet as a mouse

Well, he stands inside that cupboard
‘Til my mum is out the way
Then Simon bounds out giggling
and we go out and play

I know it’s kind of crazy
and it’ll probably cause me strife
but I’ve never been so happy
as with a yeti in my life

Me and him are best friends
when all is said and done
I’ve got a yeti in my closet
Please don’t tell my mum
